Visioning the Lay Apostolate of Tomorrow
How are the laity called and empowered to help lead the Church and her mission right here & now in May 2020?
What is the role of the laity in the Roman Catholic Church? How are the laity called and empowered by virtue of their Baptism and Confirmation to participate in the mission of the Church? How might the Second Vatican Council vision for the Lay Apostolate apply to lay women and men as the Church navigates the COVID 19 situation?
Welcome to the discussion!
The purpose of this site is to facilitate discussion about the complementary nature of the lay, clerical, and consecrated religious vocations of the Roman Catholic Church. Lay women, lay men, Deacons, religious Sisters and Brothers, and Priests alike are invited to engage in a discussion about the beautiful vision the Second Vatican Council outlined for the future of the laity in the Church and how those teachings apply to our parish mission of today. Consider watching our 5-minute introductory video on our upcoming series sponsored by the St. Thomas of Villanova parish WATCH Committee.
